thanks alot for replying rick..really appreciate it..

u r right about th frostd glass...it doesnt seem to b glass at all...will work on that...

for the IES lights..are there any .IES for spot lights??...i dont think soo...maybe i can try making the three spotlights over the partition work as spots and use IES with the rest if luminaires...

hope to submit another WIP soon 2day...

Some of the best ies files are for spotlights.

try http://www.erco.com for starters but you will also find plenty of other links to ies data in older threads. At present, your spotlights have super sharp scallops without any range between hot-spot and fall-off.

You could also improve things by adjusting the colour of the timber, its a little over saturated and tending toward ginger at the moment. Kills the ambience a bit.

I don't know much about LS, but there's this file that comes with max 6 called cooper, that makes a nice spotlight. You might find something like it at Erco's.

I think you were using "wall washers" and not spotlights. There are good IES files for wall washers from ERCO. Choose those luminaires that use low voltage halogen lamps to maintain that wam feel in your scene. Also, wallwasher downlights doesn't need aiming, not like spotlights.

sorry for being late to pust an update...was a bit bussy these days...

thank you all for your comments..really helped alot...i changed some things and thought of posting it...

i didnt find good IES files for spotlights at ERCO,but i guess that has something to do with me...anyway...i found a nice one and changed a couple of things...textures,camera view, worked on the glass..etc...

i guess the glass looks ok now...tyhe blurred floor appears behind it...i guess the room inside needs some objects to be seen through the glass...right?

so thats an update without tweaking,as it came out of the program...so hoping for ur comments..

thx..

hmmm...i had that feeling too...but i liked those colours together because of their harmony...i think if i replaced the wall colour with White it will look odd....

maybe if the scene was lit by sunlight things can b better...but the client wants a night shot...c..
