graphix
Got a quick question here..... I have a fairly simple model that I have exported using VIZ's .wrl exporter and works great. However I loose all the materials. Is there a button or additional step I am missing to do keep the materials? Or am I stuck with colored boxes? Thanks, graphix NEW QUESTION Ok I have got it to work perfectly........ only question I have is there anyway to speed up the movement? I am using Cortona to view the VRML/WRL files. Thanks yet again, graphix
Richard McCarthy
What kind of material are they? are they procedural? cos, for one thing VRML does not support procedural material (or MAX doesn't..VRML97 does have procedural coding capability just that MAX doesn't support it) Another thing, did you check your material path to be right?.. just open up your *.wrl files with a notepad and look for the line that says *.jpg.... it's quite easy to read it's sort of like HTML Other then that, I am guessing it could also be the UV issue, or MAX have some bug with the material output. So, I think you could check out couple of other VRML plugin exporter that PROPERLY export the VRML scene from MAX. http://www.edgewise-consulting.com/products/vrmlexp/ http://www.blaxxun.com/en/products/exporter/index.html Hope those helps -RM
