nully
this could look really great.. For now id work on textures - the brickwork imparticular, the wall in the forground needs detail, a box and a texture doesnt cut it these days. The lighting is good - not much work to be done there - what settings are you using for the lighting/gi
SEIF
lighting is great...especially in the background at the building itself... my comments is that the foreground looks sooo CLEAN...its never like that when we are talking about an outer wall in connection with streets and people....c... i guess u just need to work on the textures of that wall..... alsoo the tiling of the pavement if a bit weird...doesnt match with the overall style....maybe similar square tiles will be fine.... otherwise it looks coool....congrts... giraffe
nice lighting & nice image but a dusty chalky feel on the render... is this vray? I have newly started using vray and have this problem too. not sure why it happens... because I have seen very nice vray renders without this problem. Jason Matthews
Good rendering. From what I see and the comments above here are my thoughts. For the brock wall, try to use a blend material with some dirt to it. Nothing too bold, just enough to give it a feeling. The glass of the gate looks like it should be more transparent. The brick work on the house needs some impeerfections on it. Not even brick panels look that clean. Nice lighting, but the trees on the left rear look a bit bighter than the scene. As for the camera view, are we really that tall? Try to angle up a bit and a little farther to the side. Good Luck. Please repost. -Jason
shakey3d
nully, SEIF, Saturn: thanks for the comments, i've tried using vray displcament for the front wall, i think it looks less flat now but maybe i should use some blend with dirt..and i'll post my light settings later. here is the wall with the displacment: giraffe: i guess that the "dusty chalky" look you are talking about is because of the low GI setting in this render , its only a test render so i dont want to have really high render times. itay. shakey3d
heres another update, i didnt use displacment for the wall but just used chamfer and extrude to model the bricks, render time is faster and it looks better then the displacment. i've done some more adjusments in photoshop, tell me what you think http://img22.photobucket.com/albums/v66/shakey3d/014.jpg
leed
The image looks great. The block wall looks better in the new image. Could you put a capping piece on the wall just to tidy the top up a try and make the return of the wall look as though there is a full brick width. The it would be nice to see some light on the door, and windows. Great work. Lee
