salf
Im messing around with the Sponza atrium, so i can learn more about Vray, im not using Photon mapping, just irradiance maps, and direct computation for secondary bounces. As you can see in the picture, theres a lot of splotches, i still need to do more tweaking, any tips would be appreciatted, however, those arent much of a problem, the ones that are giving me troubles, are those "blue glowing splotches" just above the columns capitals, see them? Why that happens?, any idea on how to get rid of them? Thanks.
Crazy Homeless Guy
post your irradiance map settings, and double check to make sure the tops of the columns aren't actually colored blue. it looks like color bleed to me.
rivoli
i remember it used to happen the same to me when i rendered it using the old brazil public test. maybe it has more to do with maps and geometry than the renderer itself.

salf
thanks for the link. ALso, in the Vray forums, someone tells me that is due to mapping issues, that i shoudl "crop" the map used in there, gonna give it a shot.
Christopher Nichols
Salf... you are correct that model's map has am edge that is green. Since light bounces you see the green reflected. you will need to crop it in a pixel or two.
salf
yeah, it was the mapping issue, after cropping it was fix. Thanks all.
