chuck
here's an image of the buildings exterior. rendered in max 6 with radiosity. i just have an IES sun set up, no IES skylight 85% solution, a few refine iterations and filtering. mesh is around 3 feet. logorithmic exp on, set to exterior daylight. i dont like the way the wood texture looks when exposed to direct sunlight- washed out with that off orange color, it looks better in the viewport. it also lacks the detail of the grain. anyone know why it looks so off? will adding a sklight help the rendering look better or just add calculation time? thanks for any help/overall suggestions... chuck
giraffe
did you try to wrap up your material with advanced lighting override?
Jason Matthews
Try to turn down the rgb intensity in the diffuse slot of the maps rollout. It is down in the output box. Where does the shadow comefrom on the grass? It does not hit the concrete on the left? I know it is montaged but watch for it.
