tom0987654321
Hi I need to add some sound to my 3ds but only want it to start from frame 1000 but cannot seem to get it to work... I can get it to play throughout but cannot seem to move the wave along to the required frame... Any help again greatly appreciated... Cheers Tom p.s. If I render the image to output as a AVI will the sound be incorporated automatically? does the source file need including on any cd's the AVI is burned to? tx

abicalho
There's no way to do it in MAX. You should do that in an Audio Editing tool and then import the edited audio into MAX. THere are several WAV editing applications that are free and available on the web. Alexander

Thanks Tom i have never worked with sound in max, but i think you can do it. ....an avi should have the audio embeded already. no need to include the seperate audio file. stefkeB
I suggest to do sound editing elsewhere. Make your AVI in max and import that into a video-editing application (e.g. Premiere, Final Cut, AVID, Combustion, ...) I use the cheap Sony Screenblast Movie Maker. You can prepare the wav file in an external editor and use that in max, if you need it for the synchronisation of your animation (e.g. a talking character).
