Hi everyone.

I was wondering If I can render a wider image in max. I know i can increase the final output verticaly by changing the height output, but how can i increase the width of my image without having to rotate my camera 90 degrees? I hope I was clear enough

what do you exactely mean? you can change your output size as you like, both proportionally (say 640x480-1024x768-1280x1024) and customized (say 1000x100, 2000x100 and so on). you also have other output parameters: 35 mm, 70 mm, vistavision...

Thanks crazy guy for your tip. I am trying to render a bird's eye view for a wide town houses complex , but by turning the camera downwards, I am getting a huge distortion . Any more useful tips for getting the vertical walls to remain verical in this panoramic downlooking view? by the way , did you have to crop the image you posted ?

to simulate a wide angle camera change the size of your lense to a lower mm, and decrease the pixel height of your rendering. do both, not just one. it willkeep you image from being distorted, or chopped off.

i quickly rendered the attached image with a 9mm lens, at a resolution of 720x200

Err ... how much lower do I have to decreace the pixel height? If let's say I set the camera to 22mm lense, how much pixel height do I have to set? Any formula for this?
