jnorine
I also need help inporting the wood.pat file. I tried to paste it into my acad.pat file, but it still doesn't show up. Thanks, Jim
smarch
hi jim It is simplier to copy the wood.pat file into the "C:\Documents and Settings\"the user you have logged in"\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2007\R17.0\enu\Support and you will find it at custom hatch. Custom hatch is an alternative to user defined and predifined good luck
moonguide
Hola, So I'm working in AutoCAD 2007 and this is what I did. It's fairly simple #1 Created a Folder in my CAD Standards Folder called Hatch #2 I renamed the pat file to be called hardwood since that is the name that is inside the pat file and they need to match. #3 In Options, I added the folder that I previously created in the the Support File Search Path #4 Finally I went to the hatch command, where it calls the pattern I pressed the icon with the 3 dots and went to custom and there it was. I selected the hardwood pattern and that was it. I hope this was helpful. Elsa

arachai
well if anyone is interested i have about a hundred or more custom hatches. If anyone wants them let me know. Also, the correct way to install hatch patterns in to AutoCAD 2007 is to go to: mycomputer/programfiles/AutoCAD2007/support.

smarch
I wouldnt mind having them. can you explain why this is the correct way? i am thinking that the proper way is to create a new path from the option cammand. so when you unistall autocad you won't loose your hatch
