graphix
I would want dual monitors 1GB is a good depending on the complexity of projects you are doing. Make sure the ram is HIGH quality and LOW latency I would prefer a NEC or Plextor DVD writer looks good though.. graphix
Vince Paske
I would grab a good CRT instead of a LCD - the 25ms latency time would result in ghosting as you pan\orbit your model around, and also result in artifacts playing animations. The good LCD's are rather expesive and the affordable ones are there yet for high-end graphics. I would also second that opinion about having two gigs of RAM, you are going to need it especially if you want to have other apps open other than just Max. Logitech (IMO) builds mice and keyboards that Microsoft can't come near to, I highly recommend the Logitech MX 700 corless mouse. Good luck, it's always fun building a new machine. kris
I would really like to see speed resoults of your PC in our benchmark test. If you own 3dsMax come and join the party.
