pnel77
Hi there!! I start playing around with radiosity 6 months ago and did quite a few renderings using this feature - I really would like comments of where I could improve and how to do it...I almost exclusively use the sunlight-system. Regards.
Buffalo Bills
pnel77, It looks like a good start. I think you need to increase the number of refinements in your radiosity settings and also decrease the mesh size in order the image to appear smoother. Also, I can't tell, but it looks to me like you might be using shadow map for your lights. If so, you need to make the bias to be around .1 or so to get the shadows to show up near the objects they are falling off from. Also you might want to put this thread in the 'work in progress' forum. You might get more people to respond and give you suggestions.
pnel77
Thanks for the tips...I've worked with quite a small mesh size and set refinements to 2 - I'll experiment further! Cheers
Woody79
try using the final gather option aswell. this really improves the awful max standard radiosity. it will create soft shading that radiosity alone cannot process without a fine mesh. Note that render times will increase.
quizzy
post it in the software section or in the wip-section.....
