MJL Imaging
Version: Acad 2000 and up let's say I have a sheet with a floor plan on it in two viewports, one scale 1/4" and the second scaled 1/8". If I have the Room labeled with text that I would like to read at 1/4" high in the 1/4" vieport, how can I get that text to automatically adjust it's scaling so it's the same size in the 1/8" viewport. So my final printed sheet show that text at the same size in both viewports.
trhoads
I am not sure there is a way to actually do that. We have had that problem for years, and we get around it by having two versions of the labels, both on different layers. Then we just freeze the one we dont want in the view port that we dont want to see it in. I know that is a lot redundant, but we have not found a better way. I know that in AutoCAD 2004 dimensions can be set up to display the same size in any viewport, not matter the viewports scale, without having two sets of dimensions. But for general labels I have not found it to be capable of that yet. hope that helps at least a little.
MJL Imaging
yep, that's been my experience as well, ya think it'd be fixed by now. thanks for the response
SEANT
Given the situation as described above, maybe it would be as easy to label in paperspace and create blocks for similar labels. I could speed up label updates if that need should arrise.
