ingo
Hi all, i'm just watching the Star Wars II DVD on my Mac, in single picture mode of course, and found it still amazing what this people have done with the city sequence in the beginning, or the big library. Anybody seen this too, any thoughts ? ingo
quizzy
well... ofcourse i've seen it, I also meet the visual supervisor for that movie, Pablo Helman... Those guys of ILM work mostly with MAYA, and all rendering is done with Renderman, and Mental Ray. The movie consists of 2300 shots, and 1900 shots are animated or have animated visuals in it.. ingo
Maya, what for ? I've seen a lot of Softimage and the city's and some other things were done with Lightwave, most PreViz still with Electric Image, but in the end all mixed together. Its fun to watch the movie in every single picture.
