Eric
Well, our architects bought a Pantone color swatch thing for matching colors. Ideally, I could open up illustrator (ver 8) and look at the pantone color and convert it to an RGB value, but the naming system on the new Pantone swatch thing we just bought does not match the naming system found in Illustrator. Can anyone tell me how to get the new Pantone libraries for Illustrator, or some other way to match the colors? I have a Process color manual, but I don't really want to try to match every color they pick with the Process Color Manual. Thanks, Eric
Jeff Mottle
Check out this nifty tool: http://www.bodoni.co.uk/pantonecolorcue.html I had no idea they existed, but this is a very nice tool. You could scan almost anything! A bit expensive though. Try seacrhing for RGB to Pantone conversion on Google. There has to be something out there. Maybe even on the Pantone site? vizwhiz
hi There Eric, check out This Link: http://www.mpressdigital.com/colortips.html "1. Pantone Conversion Chart. If you would like to know how your spot colors will convert to CMYK, ask for a copy of our Pantone Conversion Chart. The chart contains printed over 700 Pantone swatches in the way most graphics applications convert then to process colors." i guess if you ask they will give you a Pantone Color Chart (i need one, too) **** i did a Google search using the "Image" option Thanks Randy
