panorama export problems w/ mental ray

I am new to both mental ray and 3ds max (6). I have managed some decent stills (though they take longer than I suspect they should to render in MR), but when I try the panorama exporter, the six frames don't line up properly. It worked w/ brazil and scanline fine, but I don't know brazil well enough to get decent results. I also tried the MR wraparound shader, but this seemed to distort very bad at the poles. Pleas help :confused:

The problem I had with the wraparound is that it creates a shperical map, as opposed to the cubic map to be used with the QTVR export. Are there viewers that support the spherical maps as opposed to quicktimes cubic maps?

 

***Interesting note: the new features PDF actually states that mental ray does support the pan-export on pg. 105, however in the readme.rtf for max, it states the opposite and suggests the wraparound shader.***
