dmedraft
Any ideas why the bump on the quoins is opposite the bump on the house? I used the same material on both surfaces. On the house, the mortar is bumping in as it should and on the quoins, the mortar is bumping out. Thanks, dme
Frosty
I'd say its the directions of the surface normals.

Frosty
No prob. Reversed normals generally wont be a problem, as long as they are ALL reversed. Cinema applys materials to both the inside and outside surfaces by default, so you merely have to reverse the bump direction (+ or -). However, in a situation like this, where different objects, or pieces of the same object have flipped normals, it will cause strange bumping and shading.
