only3d
hi evrybody i know allredy how 2 export archi files onto auto in 3d and i even learned how 2 keep the materials in sinc and evrything. but one thing i cant get and that is how 2 export the camera views and flythroughs. i know u can create it in autocad as well but im alredy used 2 doing it in arch . so is there a way 2 do that? (if its not possible in auto then id settle for how 2 export it 2 3dmax instead) tnx in advance
Ace_Face
(if its not possible in auto then id settle for how 2 export it 2 3dmax instead) tnx in advance Cameras do not export into Autocad format. DWG exchange does not carry that information. To save a 3ds file open the file in the 3D window then select File > Save As... select 3DS for the file format. Use the default selection options first, then select other to see what you prefer. 3DS export supports cameras, lights, and materials/textures. only3d
hi ace wats up? i have a new problem regarding exporting to 3ds. i got the drill on how 2 export the file correctly and evrything but now as my project grew more and more and got pretty big (2.75 mb is big?) its now allmost impossible 2 perform the export procedure (well not almost). do u have any ideas on wat i can do? maybe compress the project in some way or something like that? my last resort is 2 export the file part by part but its a drag and im hoping theres a more sophisticated way 2 solve this thing. waiting 4 your thoughts.. Ace_Face
I don't think there is a file limitation "theoretically" for saving 3ds files, but I ran into this myself once with a large file. The problem turned out to be a corrupt object. The way I isolated the object was to use the marquis tool by selecting portions of the file and saving them individually until I was able to identify the specific object. Then I removed and replaced the object with a newly created one. I'm sorry but I don't have any other ideas at this time for you but your problem sounds rather similar to the one I had. Try this out and see if it works.
