Jason Matthews
Hello everyone. I am working on an animation that requires a mechanical arm to reach down to the ground and scope dirt and a close up of the dirt falling into a container. Does anyone know of a tutorial showing how to create this kind of effect? I imagine it will be some kind of emitter, but I am not sure. I am not much of an animator. Thanks in advance. -Jason
Ricardo Eloy
You could use some particle system to simulate dirt. Try Super Spray with gravity. It'll take some time to reach the effect you want, but it's an affordable way to do it, I think. [] Rick

Jason Matthews
Yeah, Andy Willard and I are working on greenhouses and a lander project for International Food and Agricultural Services on campus. They have thoughts, we put them in digital form. We are working on a few things. Check out the ftp site. http://class.dcp.ufl.edu/arc6913 -Jason
pixelperfectg
Might be fairly easy to setup in PFlow as well. If your not too familiar with Pflow this thread will help: http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=114324 You may want to ask them for a solution. Lot's of experience in that thread.
