Vray Animation - Please Help!

Hello everyone!

 

I am working on this animation where I will animate a walkthrough of this house. I am rendering the animation with Vray advanced, but I have a major problem... When I render a scene, I get flashing for each frame, almost light a strobe light, but not as bad . Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knew the best settings to use to get a good quality render, without those strobing flashes.

The best solution is to render an irradiance map every 10 frames using the "incremental add to current map" option. Then use this map in the "from file" option. Check out http://www.vray.info ...lots of help.

Thanks Chad, but do you mean render an irradiance map every 10 frames using the "incremental add to current map" option first, and then render again for the second time using the "from file" option?

Yeah thats the idea. Basically set up the scene, save the file, set it to not reneder final image only gi and render out every 7 - 10 frames. Then change everthing back and reuse imap solution. At the chaotic dimension forum there are some really good articles on this.

I have no idea whether this is the case with you, and generally, the folks here give people the benefit of the doubt, but as a former (illegal) vray advanced user -now I use vray free or the scanline with a clear conscience, but i digress-...I remember a lot of talk that this problem that you seem to be having was the result of a bug in the cracked version of vray. If that's the case, I don't personally care if you use an illegal version, but I'm just letting you know that it's impossible to fix and thus a waste of time.

don't worry moron13, it's not the case cause it's not a cracked version , the flashing strobe lights are a result of the irradiance map calculating each frame different, but this method will definately work.

Sometimes it doesn't even need to be a cracked version of vray. Even if it's a legitimate version you can sometimes still get this flickering affect. Just email vlado and he'll send you another aouthorization code.

isn't the programs authorization code specific the each software that u buy? how can he just send me one? wouldnt i have to buy it again? in any case its not the software, it was the way i was rendering it before. Thanks for all your help everyone, i really appreciate it.
