lschew
Dear Archicad user, My computer was running very smooth and fine until recently, that i was working on a 64mb hotel file based on 8.0 r2. It's a pretty complex and detailed model. 2d plans, sections and elevations were fine when i generate them. The main problem is to generate 3D window. It took me 45 minutes to generate 3d windows. not photorendering yet. the setting of 3d setting on 8.1: openGL. rotating the model in 3d windows looked fine. but that's after 45mins!!! to generate it. Faster rotating speed compared to my last nvidia Ti 4200. photorendering in 8.1 r1 took about 5 minutes. Need help and advices for those who uses ati vga card, and their experience dealing with big files. i doubt it's the problem with the openGL setting on ati card. you can find the screen shot on: http://www.graphisoft.com/community/design_showcase/rend2003jun.html one more thing: this project was created on the same system except the graphics card, it's a nvidia Ti4200@128mb. the graphics card was upgraded to 9800xt 4 mths back. it took about 2-3 min to generate 3d model on ti4200, on the other way round, 45min on 9800xt@256mb. this is what bothers me. Kindly post your advice. Thanks.
