darko
Hi, This is a new interior designed with 3DS6 and finalrender. Any advice on how to make it better and using what techniques would be appreciated. I have also some pbls with the tree and the background... thanks, larger picture here
IC
The lighting is quite nice but I'd agree you need to work on the two things you mentioned. Also your external walls look to be about 50mm thick. They're normally at least 250mm. Just a point. Glass could do with some reflection/opacity.
darko
thanks for replying, Do you have some suggestion about doing a tree? or find one? The background is a picture on a cube outside, what would you use for the texture, blur, brightness.....?
David Arbogast
Your lighting looks very nice! I agree with IC's comments, especially about the glass reflectivity. I see why you have the tree in the corner...it needs something, but the tree just isn't doing it. Perhaps some art on the wall, or another small occasional table in the corner, instead of the tree. Also, unless it's just hard to see, you need to add a wood base (painted white or to match the walls would be best). The fact that the tree in the background image just happens to be in the larger center window seems artificially composed. Perhaps you could nudge the background to the left a bit. darko
Is it better for the background? What techniques do you use for backgrounds? I put glasses but we can't see them and i don't know how to have more reflectivity... I still looking for something to replace the tree. larger
IC
I think your background is fine now. Windows still look like they've no glass. The glass doesn't have to be like a mirror-just a bit of reflectivity and a bump map to stretch the reflection realistically. Maybe some blinds or curtains would give the windows some life. As for the tree, can't you just improve the model?(is it a model?) It looks quite appropriate there.
