Accurate Interiors/Glass

Hi

I need to create some light studies of interiors for a potential building development. The studies need to be of interiors lit from external sunlight. I was wondering if anyone had any info about glass absorption, accurate refraction etc etc. Is it possible to create various real world glass types as it is to bring in photometric real world lighting data?

I'm using max6 and radiosity, daylight system to try and create as accurate a model as possible.

Any help is much appreciated

As far as I remember, the refraction index value for glass is 1.5.

Water is 1.33.

I use Lightwave and you just type these values in the refraction channel but I don't know how max handles it.

Lightwave also simulates realistic caustics but again I'm not sure about Max(maybe need Vray or similar for that)

Hope that helps-probably not!
