vlaw
go polyedit or 'pe' as the command. under the option, choose 'd' for decurve. this will decurve your spline to a normal polyline in acad2004.

Sir Fuse
The only way I know of converting a spline to a pline is to save it as a release 12 dxf. I copied my spline to a new drawing and pasted to original corrdinates and saved that as the r12dxf and then reinserted it into my orginal drawing. Hope this Helps Owen
radioVOY
as far i know there's no way to do that the only choice that you have its do a partial conversion by explode the spline that let you edit as polyline but not with all the tools as a original poly. hopes helps!
