fernando-1
When I file link my ADT project to Viz I want to keep all the same layers as one object in Viz. As it is now AutoCad ADT layers are broken up into objects in numerical sequence, like say AECWall01, AECWall02, etc. I want all the walls to be in one object, All Roofs in one, Windows in one etc. Is there a way to do that? William Alexander
Combine objects by color for viz3 -layer color from adt Viz4 use the Objects on layer preset (default) or after linking create a new preset for objects on layers and reload the file. cheers WDA

See Attachment In viz4 Create new preset, name it, then in the Attach tab, make sure the new preset is selected. Then attach. Layer= Everything on an Acad layer becomes one object VIZBLOCK. Sorry for the confusion between Viz3 & viz4 WDA
fernando-1
It does not work with ADT objects such as walls and windows etc. but works with primitive Autocad elements. Is there a way to fix that? Thanks
William Alexander
Jose, What versions are you using? Sounds like a software problem! Specific to the object enabler DBX in ADT. WDA
fernando-1
ADT ver 3.0 and Viz ver 4.
Jason Matthews
You could always try to make the objects in ADT blocks, and then file link them.
abicalho
That's not it. ADT Objects are special objects and are handled separately than regular AutoCAD objects. If you do not want special handling, try removing ADTTrans.DLU from your StdPlugs folder and linking without it. Alexander
