STRAT
hi guys Thought i'd post this - http://www.3d-figures.com/ they look great as either model fillers or place holders etc. and much cheapness too
Ernest Burden III
Those are nice. What's even better for NPR renderings than mapped models is polygon colored ones. You do end up with many materials, but the results are so usable that its worth it. Also, no textures to take up memory. Using figures like these in the mid-to-background is very effective, and will save matting in photos later. OK, you could map photos into the model and have them track the camera, but I like 3D stuff over photos--they reflect, shadow properly.
STRAT
great for animations too. bill-board people kinda dissappear when the camera's passing them, then re-appear flipped round when the camera picks them up again
Fernando Lino
Hi, I am using lowpolygon3d people and they are pretty good....and the price is ok. ..about $
STRAT
yeah, i use them too, only these are a thousand or so polys less per person, and there's about 130 of them on a £60 cd, compaired to 8 or 9 per cd of lowpoly's.
Iain Denby
I think the seated ones are good as placeholders, but not convinced.
STRAT
yeah, we're only going to use them in basic block models as place holders too. they look like cheap people for people models, or cheap poser jobs.
