maxkid
hi guys, When i import splines from microstation 7 to 3d max6 splines are very heavy in terms of no of vertex for each segment ,is there any way I can optimise them in terms of no of vertex points in the line in 3d ,if i manually go to delete it affects the curvature when viewed from top and front view since most lines are for bridges and so ,the reason why i am saying this is my rpc cars running on these slopes tend to jitter due to great no of vertex ( they are path constraint ) so is there any way i can optimise splines ( like how we optimise meshes in 3d ) so that my geomatry which is lofted along this path is more smooth and more imp less dense.....pls reply back your help would be highly apprecited..... maxkid
Chad Warner
There is a modifier called "normalize spline" that allows you to set the distance between points on the spline. Try that. -Chad
