Kroke
Please help...I've put a bunch of RPC trees in my scene but when I render it, depending upon the view/angle I'm viewing the RPC's, they sometimes render perfectly but other times they show as a really thin 'line' or something. They're tweeked out. What's the deal with these? What am I doing wrong? TIA
STRAT
what angle are you viewing them? if you elevate the viewing angle until you're kinda looking down on them then they'll start to dissappear. how about post up a screenie to illustrate the problem? Kroke
Here is a screeny You can see them, they look razor thin almost within the parking lot areas where there is grass. I'm not at an extreme angle. I have even tried rotating the RPCs, they work fine from other views, I don't know what to do about this. I would assume that rotating an rpc tree does nothing anyhow? I'm just desperate at this point. Thanks for all your help guys... Kroke
mbr
Make sure you are using raytraced shadows, for starters. Are you sure those are RPC files and not mapped planes? They don't look like any RPCs I've seen, but I don't really know.
Kroke
Crap, maybe that's the problem then. These were some RPCs some guy made when I was an autocad/Accurender user. He gave out the whole library he used for us. I guess now I know why they were free heh. Ok, well, back to the drawing board, that would probably explain it. Thanks for the insite! tedesco
I know this is a kind of late reply, but there it goes anyway. If you´re not rendering a animation, try enabling the billboard option in the RPC objects, I think that will solve your problem.
