I have never edited a Wikipedia entry before, but there is also that possibility. I think it posts, but if it is not accurate, it will be modified, or changed back to the original.

I did just add CGArchitect as an external link at the bottom. Did it come through on your end? Technically I don't think Jeff could add it, but anyone else can.

I'll second the assignment for Tom :) Also, Arch Viz is more than just "buildings" IMO. Granted, the term Architectural implies buildings, but what about landscapes, water courses, civil infrastructure (bridges, dams, highway projects, airports, etc...).

By the way, the CGArchitect link is there. Thanks for adding that in - this is such a great forum!

What's great about Wikipedia is that any of you guys could add to the article. Tom, your assignment this week is to write something that makes architectural rendering seem interesting :)

Well there's already alot of people in the field....maybe instead of making it sound interesting, I should make it sound difficult and unrewarding.

Even if we write more detailed information, I think it will still be difficult to answer that question "what do you guys really do", am sure even after reading the wiki page, it would be hard for outsider to understand what we actually do.

Better edit that wiki link with answers everyone posted on this thread http://forums.cgarchitect.com/40845-have-trouble-explaining-your-job.html :).

sneaky, i were sinking the same thing.

i think the description next to the cga link should be in the line of "Online magazine and community for computer generated visualizations"

Also known as photo-real renderings, complex 3d modeling and rendering software is used to create life-like images.

Really?

Architectural 3D models are to the right proportion, scale

No. If you want to make them the wrong proportion and scale, you can do.

Wikipedia...don't you just love it.
