heni30
Is there any way to avoid a plane vray light from zapping an object that it passes thru. In this attachment it's intersecting the cylindrical light on the right and turning it white. Both are in necessary locations. Thanks.
Bruce Hart
You could simply drop your light to sit just below the geometry, or you could use the "exclude" button next to the On checkbox of the light to make it not affect the cylinder. Exclude can be very handy. It also alows you to include one or a few objects and ignore everything else with both shadow casting and illumination. heni30
Hi, I tried doing the exclude but it doesn't work if a plane light is slicing through an object. I couldn't lower the light because it was also lighting the wall next to it. So what I did is just render the cylinder with the light going through it turned off; rendered fine; then just spliced it in in Photoshop. Thanks!
