TomD_Arch
I have been working my way through learning more about the A+D material in mr and was reading about conservation of energy. The principles outlined seem to be logical assumptions, in the image I have included, until you reach #4. According to rule 2 from the help file: "Reflectivity takes energy from both diffuse and transparency; that is, at 100% reflectivity there is neither diffuse nor transparency." So why is there what appears to be transparency and not total reflection in the same way diffuse is totally canceled by transparency as show by #'s 1,2 & 3? It is not until #6 where I start to see what I was expecting and this was achieved by turning the translucency on and setting it to 1.0. I was imagining that this would have been similar for #'s 4 & 5 as well. Is there something, conceptually, I am missing here? Or are these results what I should have expected?
