colorID
hello again, thnx for ur attention. well it is part of a club house context where the water falls on rocks artificially arranged in different levels and then the water continues to run to reach a swiming pool.i think it should appear like some bubles but it is absloulty quit one,and smooth moving. thnx again best regards
colorID
sorry ,i think i missed to say that the rocks r not high, like 3 meters height total with almost ten levels of stones mostly smooth and flat surfaces. for each like 20-30 cm. hope i made everythnig clear. thnx again best regards
Paulcalif
There is a nice waterfall tutorial by Kitchen sink studios. Not exactly what you're trying to do, but may be helpful. It's a PDF file... Kitchensinkstudios Water fall Tutorial--PDF Paul

Zortea
I´ve read that but will it work on a still image like a pool waterfall?
colorID
well, i think it is a good tutorial as well, yet the effect is not what i have in mind, there should be somethnig continous series of small falls with different effect.i ll try using this procedure and i hope it would work. thnx alot
Brian Cassil
If you are considering animating it, and if you ever think you will be doing fluid effects again, I would highly recommend the Next-Limit software. I got it about a year ago and have used it in a few animations and it really works great. Not cheap mind you $1000 or maybe more. But if you do that kind of work much, it's worth it. We seem to be putting waterfalls in just about everything lately so I'm glad we have it.
John Dollus
Use the super spray particle system with particle motion blur applied in the material. Create deflector planes on the rock areas and tweak as needed. Renders quickly and by stacking acouple with different material colors (blue, white, green) you can get some great effects. edgemaster
If you do decide to use particals I'd look in to a tutorial on making bubbles with particals.. I think thats the tutorial I used. In the tutorial I looked at once it told how to attach a bitmap to particals..And some how we got it to blur just right...Then for the bubbles that are made from the flowing water use another partical (spray or what ever works) pointed up with the bubble map attached to it. And keep it in the water pretty low so just a few particals touch the top...It's been a while since I did a water fall...
