video card

Hi,

I am using an i7 processor but still not satisfied with the speed. may be I need to upgrade my video card.

 

I am using " NVDA Geforce 9500 GT". May I know how much is the difference between "Nvidia Quadro FX 3450" and " NVDA Geforce 9500 GT"?

 

can any body tell me what should I use? or which is recommended?

When you say you are not satisfied with the speed what exactly are you refering to? Rendering or viewport?

Sorry for posting it here. as you asked, I meant the rendering and some time view pot, when I work with more than 5 million polygon

As Vray's currently set up, the video card doesn't have an effect on rendering performance. It does drive viewport performance, and 5 million polys is a lot but still you can get improvements.

 

What version of Max are you using and how much do you want to spend?

I am using 2010 and vray sp4a. I can spend 300$.

know this is very small amount.

But big in our country indeed.

I don't think that's a small amount for a video card at all. And it makes for an easy answer. Radeon 5850.

 

Now if that's not available at that price in your area, the 5830 is also very good. If it has to be nVidia for some reason, the GeForce GTX 465, while not as good as those Radeons, is still very good.
