jccloutier
i have a bunch of rectangle shaped boxes oriented in a ring - think of a 3D dashed line around an ellipse. each box is identical but i need to scale all of them equally down. i've tried going into the modifier and selecting all 'elements' then scaling with various reference coordinate systems and pivot points but there is only one gizmo for all objects. how do i get a unique gizmo to show up on each individual object so i can scale at once? thx
Crazy Homeless Guy
Soulburn's Transform Randomizer would work for this. Set the Min and Max to the same level, and then hit scale. It will scale each object independently around its pivot. The only problem is the number needs to be keyed in, meaning it is not interactive. jccloutier
because the ring of boxes is one object and each box is a suboject, i can;t get each one to have its own gizmo. is there a way to make all individual subobjects their own object (detach) all at once or do i have to detach or 'make unique' each box individually? Crazy Homeless Guy
Maybe Soulburn Object Detacher? ...if not I know I found a script on Scriptspot that did htis, but I can't remember what it was.
jccloutier
that worked perfectly (for detaching) but unfortunately the ucs for the subobjects are the same (not unique) thanks for the help
Crazy Homeless Guy
Maybe I am dumb, but I can not recall what the USC is. Is it in relation to pivot point? ...if so, try using Blur Scripts Pivot Placer.
