-MerlyN-
Hi. I am currently working on a boat model. I'm building it via splines and the cross section modifier. Now I have reached a dead end, unfortunately. I made a mistake when I build the splines, and now am missing one. The problem, that now arises is, when I add another spline to my base spline object it will be numbered in ascending order resulting in the cross section modifier creating the mesh from 1 to n accordingly. I need to have an additional spline in position 1 however. When I create a new line or add another spline to the object it will get assigned position 18. Is there any way of changing the order of the sub spline objects other than to explode the splines and start all over? Please see the attached images to bring sense to my words. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Merl
Bruce Hart
You could apply a spline modifier. If you go to the spline sub object level you will see there is a cross section button. You can use this to repick the order of your spline objects. You can select if the connections are linear or smooth.
-MerlyN-
Thanks, Bruce. But I used the CrossSectionMod especially to avoid manual cross sectioning. I makes teh whole process a lot easier, if you dont have to cope with two overlapping vertices. Its fine, if bothe are corners, but if you work with beziers...
