Ausmax
Hello, I am using the mental ray daylight system to light my scene and I have let the system place a mr physical sky map. My problem is that it just appears black instead of that blue gradient that I have seen in tutorials. I remember it working for me before, but can't work out how to get that gradient back again. I usually use an instance from the mr physical sky and select a sky background from my scene. I need the blue gradient because I would like to get some early morning light happening in the background, haze etc. Could do with some help on this one. Cheers
dreamer86
delete daylight system and creatr another one, overwriting previous settings. also use mr photografic exposure control to get better results. check if mr physical sky (environment tab) is on. Ausmax
Thanks for the reply Thomas, I managed to get the mr physical sky map to render by going into Viewport background and enabling use environment map and also ticking display background. However, I would really like to see the Physical sky map in the Exposure Control Render preview window. I can see my objects in the window - it is just the physical sky that appears black. If I look at the preview window in the material editor for mr physical sky it also appears black - don't know if this is normal?? dreamer86
Can you post me a screen of your environment panel? remember that viewport background display only if hardware shading is enabled
