Winter
I've just upgraded to Viz 2005 and opened up a scene I did in viz 4 using radiosity. For some reason the scene is now rendering really dark - I've messed with the exposure and increaed/descreased the physical scale to no effect. I've done a re calc on the radiosity, ensured that I'm using the scanline renderer (as in Viz4), made sure the units are the same as previously (mm) and STILL the scene is dark. I must be missing something really simple - What is it?
Fran
Hi Neal, With Viz 2005, Ambient and Diffuse colors need to be locked in your materials. I have changed them without having to re-run the solution.
abicalho
Fran is correct. And that's why there's a utility called "Fix Ambient" in VIZ 2005. Go to the Utility Panel > More... > Fix Ambient > Find All > Fix The Radiosity will say it's invalid, but it's not a problem. Just re-render and you should be good to go.
