Maestro101
Hey. Does Xfrog have an option of "random seed"? I would like to make a model of a tree and then make some random variations of it , quickly. There is such a possibility in Onyx, but I cannot find it in Xfrog. xfrog
You would probably want to open the .xfr model with xfrog 3.5 and click on any of the branching components and slide the sliders around to get whatever variations you wish and export OBJ. The first 22 libraries of xfrogplants have 3 variations per species, the more recent 6 libraries have 9 variations of each model - seasons, ages. 9 is fairly decent for an ecosystem to not show repeats. in any case, all libraries come with procedural .XFR that you can adjust. separately there is a random() function in xfrog that is used in modeling often and you can also change the values in that. there are 20 or so functions inside xfrog that you can feed equations to, if you want to go beyond sliders.
