Animating light colours

Hi all,

 

I'm looking for a way to animate the colour of a series of lights in my scene.

Ideally I'd like to do this by linking them to a video file.

Alternatively I could key frame them.

 

Does anyone know if this is possible?

both are possible.

 

turn on autokey, move the animation slider and change the light color. max will adjust the light between your keyframes.

 

if you want to do it as a video it's possible as long as you are using a light that can use a projector map (in advanced effects for standard lights) just remember that videos work best in max when used as an image sequence not a movie file.
