I've recently been having major issues with internet explorer, so i uninstalled it.

i then installed mozilla's FireFox, and i must say it's heads and shoulders better than IE in my opinion. faster, more stable, better security, tabbed browsing etc etc.

I know it's free and it probably means regular updating, but it really deos the biz for me.

i'm also looking into the free download of Opera, which i hear so much about.

What internet browser do you use, and why? and can anyone give me their experiences with Opera?

I use Opera 7.10

Runs great the email client is also good.

I first started using it because its a non-Microsoft product(safer the IE)

Some problem with showing some pages but not anything to worry about.

Works fine with CGA and thats most important :-)

try Opera you will love it!

I use Mozilla 1.7 - I tried FireFox but it gave me some weird problem I don't even remember, so I went back to plain Mozilla (tabbed browsing is awesome). I also use mozilla Thunderbird for my email client - outlook express blows big time.

Opera Rocks !! :)

No comparison whith IE...No cookies problems, multitab, emailclient, ICQclient...

Just so fine

Bye

well since i scrapped IE a couple of weeks back and started using Firefox my machine has been like a new pc. security is great, browsing is much faster and safer, and i dont get the usual crap IE churns up.

but a fair few peeps have been telling me how good opera is.

i've downloaded the free download of it (as i dont want to pay), but am yet to install it.

no doubt it's allot better than IE, but how does it compair to Firefox for instance? or whats it like in general? why should i use it?
