stormchaser
hi mates, i am doing this project that requires grooves in the plaster in brick pattern, so i applied a vraydisp mod and using a tile map. but i am not getting the desired result, its all blurry. i am attaching two images, one is with the tile texture in diffuse slot without vraydispmod, other is with vraydispmod on using the same tile texture. i have tried almost everything, i have set the blur value to .01 in map option, turned off filtering, reduced the edge length to .5px in vraydispllacement settings. but nothing is helping. Chad Warner
are you using 2d displacement or 3d? I don't know if that's the problem, but try switching from one to the other to see what result you get.
Jason Matthews
Make sure the displacement map is scaled correctly. Looks too large.
stormchaser
i am using 3d displacement, and the map is procedural so it cant be scaled too large. regards
alejandroserranomonforte
for this texture you can simply use bump
