Jason Matthews
Can you post your settings? It may be a Adaptive Subdivision issue.

stormchaser
try increasing hsph subdv. in irradiance map. might help. *it might have nothing to do with your problem but try unchecking smoothing along the length option in loft parameter, for moulding of course. Jason Matthews
Try increasing the Interp. Samples in the IR map. I believe this should smooth out those areas. Before increasing any settings, take a look at the noise threshold under the DMC sampler. It may be set too low which is why all of the inperfections are showing. Try changing it back to the default of .01 and then increase it. On a side note, turn up the LC to about 2000 subdivisions. From the looks of the settings it does not appear to be related to the image sampler (I could be wrong). It is most likely a GI problem.
3DMK
For this sort of noise you are going to need to set your Irradiance Map subdivisions so high you may as well just tell your kids to do the post on your image because you might be passed on by then....lol BUT there is a quick and easy solution.....Go to the Irradiance tab and check the DETAIL ENHANCEMENT check-box. This feature was implimented for this particular problem. It will cause BRUTE FORCE to be performed on these sort of details to solve the problem, whilst using Irradiance for the rest of the scene Set it to world scale at about 50 mm & you should be fine.
