ReneRumberg
So I selected right edge and i selected left one, pressed connect and i wanted to make a baseboard like I have on the other 2 sides. So I press connect and i start sliding this thing down but one corner goes up, other corner goes down... why it happens? What I am doing wrong? How can I fix it? Bruce Hart
This may be because you have altered the size of one edge by cutting in the skirting board. If the two edges were the same length, the connect edges would be parallel. Just adjust the slide until straight, or perhaps you could keep the wall as a rectangular plane and the skirting board as separate geometry? NoisyMonk
Yep. The problem is that both edges aren't the same length. Max doesn't know that you want them to be hoizontal, it just connects the 2 midpoints of each edge, no matter what. Several ways to fix this: -In this example, don't have the baseboard part of the wall, and have both walls the same height. -After you connect the edges, select 1 of the new edges and hit the Make Plannar "Z" button, then select the other new edge and Make Plannar again - I do this ALL the time after connecting edges, even if I think they are perfectly horizontal. -Use Vertex Snap and move 1 side of the new edges down/up to be horizontal with the other. Good luck!
datacrasher
you can always arc rotate your build and go into the vertex mode and line strighten up the connect line im not sure if you want the connect to work all the way around the building can select the edges choose the loop tool and make then choose connect with the number of segs you want and the side amount.
