So.. I have all materials placed, I have two vray planes behind my window with imo proper settings and when I start rendering, there isn't nothing. I mean the whole render is black....

Lol I really dont get it what I am doing wrong.

Gonna upload the scene fail soon, maybe there is something messed up or I dont know, I never havent experienced something like this lol.

Edit:

Can that be caused by that, that I have selected and attached the "Normal" for the box from the modification list?

2010 Version and I don't have image behind my window yet.

2eek0ut.jpg For example. I put the carpet material on the carpet and wooden floor material on the floor and thats how it looks, even tho i followed every single. And doesnt matter if I render this picture through vrayPhysicalCam or perspective, details and materials are not visible. And when i check from the material editor, then everything is correct, bump and diffuse and reflect images are there and selected but when I render, then I get something like this.

Sigh I wish I could finally learn how to light renders-

Had a look at the scene and found the errors...

1st... Be careful, when working with backface cull. As VRay renders all faces 2-sided with your current Perspective view you get an absolutely awesome view of the unlit outside of your room -> move your view inside the room and turn of backface culling in the objects properties. I also would suggest to add a shell modifier to your walls. VRay can be nasty and produce leaking lights and other problems, if your walls are single faces...

2nd... in the render settings, V-Ray: Global Settings turn on Lights. Else it will stay dark no matter of your lighting setup ;)

3rd... increase your light intensity multiplier. 65Watts its pretty low for outside lighting

Thats about the most obvious I found on first glance. Hope it helps.

Cheers,

Huh hoh.

Looks a bit better but still for example I have a very nice wooden park floor material attached to the floor and two vray planes behind my two windows, 350W both or even more, lights are turned on from the global settings, shell modifier are added to the walls, vray planes are excluded from casting shadows, double shades are on and don't have any direct light, just two planes outside, near the window and there are no floor details or bed-sheet details visible on the render, everything looks so.. so ugly. And I've been following Ten Sun 3D Interior vray render tutorial step by step and I still don't get it, where the hell is the problem (well obviously between the seat and the monitor) but i mean what I am doing wrong.

The problem is that when I'm on the viewport and I attach some kind of material to certain object, then it even doesn't show like something is changed, only colour changes a bit, but no details or map.

Over here, on the tutorial, when he attached a material on the floor, then you can see while being on the viewport, that the texture has changed.

I have either something very f**** up or I am doing something very wrong.
