datacrasher
there is nothing there in selection 3 it's just stuff for the bathroom Kitchen etc. if you want to create a floor plan then you will need to learn the basic to box modeling or AEC externded none us have the time to teach you i would do the tutorials that come with max once you have done them then you will know how to create a floorplan using box modeling or aec extended. You cannot learn max in 5 minutes it takes day, months or years. Edited June 23, 2010 by datacrasher

muchhal.sandeep@gmail.com
Hi no its not so we dont intend to copy the plan we have got our own set of drawings for some of our projects we just need to show them the same way as these ppl are showing just similar method of presenting the plan not copying the plan so you want too add a floor plan to your viewport? you need to get authorization from the ppl who own the site if you don't that illegal unless you own the site then i will possible help you
datacrasher
then you need to first draw the plan on a paper if you have done that you eaither need to do the same in photoshop or a similar application to photoshop or you need a scanner to scan it on your computer save the scan in jpeg open up max. load the image into the top viewport by using the alt and the B key. now use the dropdown menu where it says "file" locate where you save your jpeg image once it's loaded it to the file section click on ok in the aspect ratio put the dot in match bitmap image on the right hand side of that box your see background lock/zoom/pan make sure these are checked ( ticked). in the viewport make sure you have the top viewport selected. Now click on okay, max will load the image into the top viewport now you can start modeling Good luck Dc Edited June 23, 2010 by datacrasher
Tommy L
Well I think that Datacrasher missed the point..... but I will be following this thread as I would very much like to be able to use a slick 3d viewer like the one in the site you linked to. JonRashid
I think the package you are looking for is called silverlight. There is a company called Aarkid that do development work in this. But you can create a similar type of presentation with acrobat, flash, or quicktime quite easily. These actually provide a complete 360 solution. You can simply import your .3ds model into acrobat and voila

Quicktime Object VR, maybe Acrobat* Harder way... Flash Hardest way... Silverlight *Not sure if PDF can be embedded for inline viewing. Professor
Also, here is another program that was mentioned on a previous thread that looks like it will do what Sandeep is looking for. I myself haven't tried it, but thought I would pass it along. Go to web page and click on demo to check it out http://demicron.com/solutions/architectural.html#

jsf
In Max you can use the "Export to DWF" feature to create 3D viewable files that are opened using Design Review.
