yahia mito Posted July 10, 2010 Share Posted July 10, 2010 hey all fryers last week i was trying fryrender for several materials my host software is 3ds max 2010 i tried to simulate an exterior scene .... tried to make it real ... but hopeless also i tried to find any tutorial for exterior like images in Fryerender Gallery.... surprised that there isn't not even 1 tutorial .... so weard ? first i tried to simulate this work i found on GOOGLE images modeled with sketchup mapping in 3ds max tried to do it many ways... adding fry sun to the scene creating hemisphere and tried to assign an hdr mat to it hopless.... if somebody can post a tutorial to show what are the basics for lighting an exterior scene i'd be gratefull also i don't know what to do to get displacement ?? rass map are rendered as a surface ... no displacement textures also ... any advices what to do SOMEBODY HELP PLZ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Fran Posted July 19, 2010 Share Posted July 19, 2010 Hi Yahia, Here is a link to a tutorial that talks a lot about vegetation. You don't need a skydome for fryrender, just put an image in the Background slot of the Environment parameters and set it to Screen mode. You can adjust all the image parameters in the UVW and RGB modifiers panels of the Bitmap Editor (where you select the image you want). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
