-MerlyN-
I just created a new macroscript, following a scripting tutorial and noted the script ID it got assigned which was 27600. I am using 3ds max 2011. The tutorial was recorded on an old 3ds max 6 and the macroscipt there got the ID 928. Now for those not knowing already nearly every function in Max is actually a macroscript, and every macroscript has its very own id. Ofcourse Max got quite a few new tools and functions between Max 6 and 2011, but still it makes me wonder how many of those 27600 functions I am actually using and how many I will never even know about nor really need them. I also wonder if Max would be more stable if it had less scripts and how cool it might be if one could choose not to install functions one never uses or needs. What are your thoughts on this? andstef
well, it is funny in a way, to think of the instalation process where someone would have to choose form 27600 functions (there are about 53 lines of text on an A4 page, therefore if the functions would be listed one per line, that would mean about 520 pages of functions to choose from, just think about reading all that:) ) It might be really sad without a select all button

What are your thoughts on this? My though on it, is that I agree, I'd like Max to be more stable... With each release, I feel that it is somewhat less stable in some functions, yet more practical on other functions. I also just think that a "bug free" version of Max is also too much to ask for... Just as it would be to ask for a "bug free" of Windows...
