Kriss_J_W
Hi all! I'm working on a model in 3D Studio Max and, when applying materials to my objects, I've run into a problem. I want to produce a shiny wooden floor. I've applied my jpeg and added both a bump and reflect map to the material slot; this works fine and relections are visible in the rendered scene. However, when I apply any type of attenuation all reflections disappear. I've varied the falloff values with no joy and if attenuation is turned off the reflections reappear. Is there a way to work around this? I'm not a regular 3D Studio Max user though I've tried to find an answer to the problem for a few days now... Any help would be very much appreciated. Kriss_J_W
Just to update. all's sorted now; for some reason the objects were massive meaning that there was a raytrace reflection but it was miniscule... I just had to scale everything down for it to become more obvious. So simple! Grrr...
