Ronche
Hi, I've made this remote control, rendered it, and it's kind a fuzzily, and preview image is crystal clear. Where did i make a mistake? Here is a screenshot of Maxwell Render. Oh, I've forgot to say that I'm using Maxwell v2.0 x64.
tonyEnn
I see you have only reach sample level 13.95. It may take you till SL:18 or more to see a difference. I let mine run all night or all weekend if I have to. Set your time to default of 9999. 60min is way to short in my experience.
Ronche
Thanks for your reply. While I was waiting for someone to reply, I've been playing with camera parameters, and I've came up with an idea to set focal length from 50mm to 20mm, and the result is a bit better, with same time. Sometimes I don't change default time, but after about 6 hours of rendering, you don't see any difference. I'm using Maxwell render on Intel 64-bit proccessor which runs at 2.5GHz, 6GB of RAM memory, and GeForce 8800GT with 1GB DDR3, so Maxwell works very nice with shorter Render time. Here is the image of my last render with new focal length parameters. I think that floor refletion on the remote is also better.
rendaman
Hi, Try doing this -- under the "simulens" tab in the .mxs window, check the "diffraction" and "scattering" boxes and drag those options to 0 including the frequency. Your next sampling level should give you a clearer image I believe. Good luck and let me know if it works.
Ronche
Well, if nothing else, the colors are much more realistic, then on previous renders. Thanks for this advice. This was a one hour render. I'll run another one, but with 10 hours render time, and if there are any differences, I'll let you know.
