Jeff Mottle
Ran accross this today and thought I'd pass it along to everyone. Did not know this actually worked. http://www.imphotography.com/downloads/ssimagesize.htm
Chad Warner
Have you tried it to see if it actually makes a difference? I am curious... -Chad
Tim Nelson
I guess I understand the concept of what it does, but is it supposed to improve image quality when enlarging & reducing at all?
Jeff Mottle
Just did a quick test with a Smoothe rendering. I increased it in size from 700 x 450 to 3000 x 1929. I've attached 3 samples. One is done in one step with PS Image size. Then the other two were done with this plugin with 8 and 10 perent per step increments. There is a noticible difference. David Knourek
I recently tried the demo from these guys ( http://www.lizardtech.com/solutions/gf/ ) to blow up a render from 12,000pix wide to 24,000pix wide and the result far exceded my expectations as far as quality is concerned. -dave
DennisB
This guy has has a fairly detailed description. http://www.fredmiranda.com/Interpolation_Plugin/ He was probably one of the first to offer a set of stepped interpolation actions for PS. It looks as though he's made it a plug-in now too. He charges for his, but the reference info is free.
