mouseboycheese82
Hello all, I'm currently trying to improve the realism of my 3d images, and i'm having problems with inserting plants and shrubs into my composition. I've tried inserting some high resolution images i've found off the internet through photoshop (cropping and editing in photoshop beforehand), but they don't quite look right. I've also tried the archvision RPC trial content, but i'm not overly happy with the results from this either. Is there a standard way of inserting shrubs into the scene, or a best practice method. I've had a look on the internet, but nothing seems to be jumping out at me at the moment. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
hughie
I use onyx trees to generate vegetation with good results, though it does take a bit of work to get them the way you want. If you want out of the box realism then Evermotion do a good range of realistic 3d plants
Peter M. Gruhn
http://www.hwb.com/gruhn/3d/op/final/ This is my first project trying to do anything other than token vegetation. Used Onyx to generate a library of veg then comped them all by hand in Photoshop (smart objects, please). Would have liked to have planted them proper in the model and rendered, but the thing wouldn't render with as many as two trees in the scene. I don't think these images show the limits of the technique, only of my skillz.
