Your CG School thoughts

Has anyone ever taken one of the online classes from CGSchool? (www.thecgschool.com/ )

If you did i would like to know what your thoughts were of the online class. How interactive was it? Would you recommend it?...

I've been debating if I should signup for a online class or fly down there to sit in the classroom. My feeling is that i would get a lot more by being in the classroom. However, at a much more expense.

Hello Gilbert,

We've gotten some feedback from students who took some of the classes in the past weeks. I'm keeping their names anonymous for now. Here's is what they had to say:

Commenter #1: If you have always wanted to improve your skills and not have to deal with so much guess work then you should really consider CG School. I have taken several of their on-site courses and there is nothing more valuable. The classes are taught by industry experts who explain in plain English how these tools work and when best to use them. I feel much more confident in achieving great results easily and being able to troubleshoot effectively.

Commenter #2: One can read many books on how to do something, but when is shown visually with an explanation, the experience is invaluable. Thank you.

Commenter #3: Everything about my online experience was positive - The pace was just right and the information was delivered in a clear, concise manner. I felt that the online students were treated as if they were right there in the room. They were frequently asked if there were any questions that needed answers and any problems they had were addressed immediately.

Commenter #4: The information I got from taking these classes were fantastic. It is just the right amount of information I need for architectural visualization. This way, you learn a lot in 16 hours rather than spending hours learning things you'll never use. I highly recommend either attending the class in person or purchasing the online classes + video option. There is a lot of info packed into the classes and I find that while the instructor gives you time to follow along in classes, there's no time to take detailed notes. So unless you already learned max previously or have an IQ over 170, you'll need to watch the videos over again.

I hope this info helps you out. I look forward to seeing any additional comments from past students.

Here's one I received in a private email with one of our students:

I can’t tell you enough how impressed I am with the quality of service which thecgschool provide.

I recently attended the 2-day online course ‘VRay for Architectural Visualisation (Beginner to Intermediate)’ and would just like to congratulate Brian Smith on the quality in which he conducted the class. I found his class extremely insightful and hate to admit that I learnt more in his 2-day course then I did in a whole 3-month term learning VRay at one of Melbourne’s leading 3D academies. I will be passing my recommendations onto fellow past class mates.
